Cocoagcalc 1.0 (2007)

This is a very simple Cocoa front-end to Greg Miller's gcalc. gcalc is a commandline tool that uses Google's built in calculator.

Version 1.0 is hosted on Google code.

VisualDOT 1.0 (2007)

This is a Mac OS X GraphViz front-end which I am currently developing. Version 1.0 is near completion. The purpose of this app is to complement, not compete against the powerful Graphviz front-end from pixelglow. A significant feature of this utility is that it does not bundle graphviz. Therefore, you can install the latest and greatest version of graphviz using MacPorts and VisualDOT will work with it.

Version 1.0 is hosted on Google Code.

In later versions, I plan to include things like publishing graphs to the web, etc.

Regular Expression Checker (2007)

  1. RegularExpressionTester.exe
  2. RegEx.zip

You will need the .NET Framework v2.0 (latest release) from Microsoft for the .NET programs. The Java version has so far been tested on Mac OS X(but it should work on Windows, Linux, etc. Be sure not to delete any files in the directory after extracting. Double-clicking the jar file should work in Windows, Mac OS X, and other operating systems. You can browse and download the C# source(Visual C# Express Edition) here

You can download the Java Netbeans project directory here

I made a RubyCocoa version of the regular expression checker. You can find in my programming blog here

The Regular Expression Checker software is licensed under the GNU General Public License(GPL v2). You can view a copy of this license gpl.txt

Basic Bioinformatics with Ruby (2007)
