A program on road safety was organized by Road Safety Club on March 11, 2022 at Government College Bassa (Gohar). The main objective of the program was to make the students aware about the road safety. The program was presided over by the principal of the college, Ms. Surina Sharma. Various activities were organized on this occasion, in which many students took part. In the declamation competition, Vipala Thakur got first postion, Manisha Thakur second and Gopi Sharma got 3rd posttion. Team D in the quiz competition consisting of Bhavna Kumari, Harshita Thakur and Chandresh Kumari got the first position. Team C in which Mamta Kumari, Neha Sharma and Himani Thakur got second position. In the essay competition, Bhanupriya got 1st, Anjali Sharma, 2nd and Mamta Kumari got 3rd position. In-charge of Road Safety Club, Dr. Vikram Singh said that the students actively participated in these activities and tried to make other students aware of road safety through these activities. Career Guidance Counseling and Placement Cell of Government College Basa, organized a career guidance session for 3rd year students of B.Sc., B.A. and B.Com. on 8th March, 2022 in the college. Shri Upender Singh, Regional Employment Officer motivated the students to take advantage of all the schemes sponsored by the government to make a bright future. In his inspirational speech he told that how a career counsellor helps students to choose employment, increase self confidence, ability, prepare hard and systematically. National Science day was celebrated at G.C. Bassa (Gohar). The theme was "Integrated Approach in S&T for Sustainable Future". Ms. Surina Sharma, Principal of G.C. Bassa (Gohar) was the chief guest on this ocassion. Events like Declamation, poster making & presentation, Exhibition and Scientific Rangoli competitions were organized in Science block of the college. Principal told the need and importance of science to students. She also observed the posters, Rangolis & exhibition of students and interact with them individually.
A road safety rally was organized on 4th March, 2022, by Road Safety Club, Government College Bassa (Gohar). Rally was started from the college campus up to Khyod Chowk bus stop. NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers of G.C. Bassa participated in this rally. The main objective of this rally was to make students and people aware of road safety rules. The students stopped some vehicles and awared the drivers of vehicles to follow the road safety rules such as wearing of helmets and keep the speed of the vehicle slow. It is a matter of pride for the college that NCC Cadet & Senior Under Officer, Ms. Monika of B.A. 3rd Year of Govt. College, Bassa (Gohar) has been selected for Republic Day Parade to be held at Delhi on 26th January, 2022. She has achieved this feat by performing brilliantly in various camps organized for the Republic Day Parade, Delhi. Before this, she has passed different phases of tests and have taken training at Chitkara University Baddi from 16 September to 22 September 2021, MMU Solan from 11 November to 17 November 2021 and at NCC Academy Ropar from 18 November to 27 November. Apart from this, Ms. Monika has been made the senior of selected girls cadet in the Republic Day parade of NCC Directorate-Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. Ms. Monika has been a very disciplined and hardworking cadet in various activities of NCC in the college. Annual Sports Meet - 2021 was celebrated on 21st December, 2021 at Govt. College, Bassa (Gohar) Former Principal, Dr. I.D. Sharma was Chief Guest on this occasion. College Principal Ms. Surina Sharma and other staff members gave a warm welcome to Dr. I.D. Sharma. A large number of students participated in different games like Race, Kabbadi, Disc Throw, Volley Ball, Chess, Badminton etc. Dr. I.D. Declamation (an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of it’s people, culture and achievements), Excise and taxation department, Distt. Mandi organized a quiz competition at VGC Mandi on tax matters and awareness. Students from 7 different colleges participated in this quiz. Ms. Veena Thakur and Mr. Narender Verma from Govt. College, Bassa (Gohar) grabbed the 3rd position in this quiz with prize money of 3000
N.S.S. One day camp was organized at Government College, Bassa (Gohar) on 16th October, 2021 in the presence of Ms. Surina Sharma, Principal, G.C. Bassa, N.S.S. Officer, Dr. Balbir Singh and Prof. Ramesh Kataria. In which 45 volunteers participated in this camp. Prof. Ramesh Kataria divided the students in three equal groups. Each group performed different duty assigned to them. They are also motivated and encouraged by N.S.S. Officer, Dr. Balbir Singh and Prof. Ramesh Kataria for their contribution. Refreshment was also served to volunteers on this ocassion.
Voter awareness compaign was organized in Government College, Bassa (Gohar) under the "Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation Program" on 14th October, 2021 as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India. On this ocassion, an voter awareness rally was inaugurated by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate from the college premises. In this programme, students made voters aware through slogan writing and poster making. On this event, The Principal of the College, Ms. Surina Sharma urged all the students to participate enthusiastically in the voting and urged the local people to play their part in voting. At the end of the programme, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mr. Raman Kumar Sharma, in his address, encouraged the students to participate in the great festival of polling to make voters aware and called for establishing a stong democracy. Officers and employees of S.D.M. and B.D.O. Office were involved in this programme.
Himachal Pradesh "Swarn Jayanti Samaroh" was celebrated on 30.09.2021 at G.C. Bassa on the ocassion of celebration of 50 years of Himachal Pradesh Statehood day. Various activities like debate/declamation, Quiz, Poetry, Poster Making, Slogan writing, solo Dance etc. were organized on this ocassion.
NSS Day was celebrated by NSS Volunteers of Govt. College, Bassa (Gohar) on 24th September, 2021 under the abled guidance of N.S.S. Officer Dr. Balbir Singh. Principal, Ms. Surina Sharma was the Cheif Guest on this ocassion. Students performed different inspirational and cultural activities.
A Blood donation awareness seminar was organised at G.C. Bassa on dated 20.09.2021 . Students were encouraged for blood donation and various myth were busted about blood donation. Students from NCC, NSS, Eco Club, Scouts and Guides actively participated in the Seminar.

The applicants, who have applied online till Aug 31, 2020 for admission in BA/BCom/BSc (Fresh and Roll-On) at Govt College Bassa (Gohar) and for any reasons could not paid fees or complete the admission process yet are hereby advised that they come to the college with all their eligibility certificates, three passport size photographs and online registration form during 10AM to 3:00PM on any working day before September 12, 2020 otherwise their application will out-rightly be rejected.

3. All first year applicants whose form number is more than 360 should report to the college on 31 August 2020 with all their relevant original documents and a set of their photocopies and three passport size photographs.

5. Inter Faculty Competition of the college will be held on March 14, 2019 in Lecture Hall II of Science Block at 10:00 AM.
6. A rally for awareness of Nutrition was be organized on Wednesday (Mar. 13, 2019).
7.Special Career Guidance Session for students of IV and VI semesters was organized on Monday (Mar. 11, 2019) at 01:30 PM in Conference Hall of Arts Block.
8. Foundation Stone of the Cluster University Campus at Bassa (Gohar) was laid by Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh on March 02, 2019.
Feb. 2019:
1. The house examination of for 4th and 6th Semesters were conducted during Feb. 26 to Mar. 06 2019.
2. CSCA function "Umang-2019" has been celebrated in the college on Feb. 22, 2019 in the revered presence of MLA Sh. Vinod Kumar jee as Chief Guest of the function.
3. IQAC meeting was held on Feb. 07, 2019 to discuss the plan of action for coming year.
Jan. 2019:
1.Sh. Balbir Singh (Assistant Prof., Commerce) awarded with prestigious SAARC Internship. He has visited SAARC Headquarter at Kathmandu for this internship.

1. Dr. Manish Kr. Bajpai, Assist. Prof. @ IIIT Jabalpur (M.P) has given a Physics colloquium on "Image Reconstruction implemented in Biomedical Diagnostics viz. CT/MRI scan" on Dec. 29, 2018 @ 2:00PM through SKYPE.
2. Seven Days NSS Camp was held during Dec 22, to Dec. 28, 2018 at GC Bassa campus.
3. Physics Colloquium by Dr. Shyam Lal Gupta (Assist. Prof. Physics) entitled as "Role of Metal Complexes of Natural Peptides in Cancer Diagnostics & Therapeutic Use: A Perspective" on Dec. 18, 2018 @ 2:00 PM.
4. Sanitary Napkin vending machines along with the incinerators have been installed in Campus and Girls' Hostel of the College.
5. First Physics Colloquium was successfully organized in the College. The audience was told through live demonstrations/videos about the role of Physics in day-to-day happenings.
6. Special activities in line with the "Aparaajitaa" Campaign of "Amar-Ujala" were organised in the College campus on Dec. 07, 2018.
7. Report of the NAAC Peer team Visit was opened and discussed with staff on Dec. 06, 2018.
8. For some unforeseen reasons the scheduled GBM of PTA on Dec. 03, 2018 is postponed till further notification.
9.Different Activities were organized in the College to mark the WORLD AIDS DAY on Dec. 01, 2018.
10. Classes for 1st year students resumed to their usual schedule and Roll on admission for 4th and 6th Semester has completed on Nov. 28, 2018.
