WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW:

AUDITIONS: ALL-FEMALE JULIUS CAESAR

The Gazebo Players of Medfield will hold open auditions for their fourteenth annual "Shakespeare In The Park" production: an all-female casting of William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar.

Please prepare a one to two minute Shakespearean monologue that is not from Julius Caesar. Actors will also be asked to read scenes from the play. No prior Shakespeare experience is necessary. This will be an all-female production, in which the women cast in men’s roles will play them as men.

Julius Caesar will be performed on three consecutive weekends:

  • July 25th and 26th at Choate Park in Medway
  • August 1st and 2nd at the Music Court in Bird Park, Walpole

Julius Caesar will be directed by Peter Bradley, who is on the Board of the Walpole Footlighters and has many previous directing and acting credits. Peter has appeared in the Gazebo Players’ productions of The Tempest, Romeo and Juliet, and Macbeth. His directing credits include It’s a Wonderful Life, I Hate Hamlet, and They’re Playing Our Song with the Walpole Footlighters.
