GATEway Science Fair (Gr. 3-6)

12:30 PMDOORS OPEN at 12:30 PM
Please plan to arrive between 12:30 and 1:00 to allow enough time to Check-In.
Park in the Damon Parking Ramp and take the elevators to the Subway level.  This is the designated entrance to the Fair and where Check-In begins.

12:30 - 1:15 PM
Check-in to receive assigned schedule, paperwork and t-shirt.  Set up project in assigned project spot.

 1:30 - 2:30 PM
As assigned:
    1st Review Session (explain project to reviewers)
    Attend 1st Science Museum of Minnesota presentation
 2:30 - 3:00 PM
Snack provided for registered students
 3:00 - 4:00 PM
As assigned:
Attend 2nd Science Museum of Minnesota presentation
2nd Review Session (explain project to reviewers)

 4:00 - 4:30 PM
Open to the public & time to see other projects
 4:30 PM
Receive written reviews & pack up project

Parents/guardians are responsible for their children for the entire duration of the fair. GATEway does NOT provide any supervision nor childcare.  Participants are pre-assigned to a project spot and to follow a specific afternoon schedule.  A team is assigned to one project spot.  Participants/siblings with the same last name and all registered members of a team are purposely assigned to follow the same schedule.  If entrants with different last names need to be together for reasons of adult supervision, please email us at before Feb. 11 and include a list of the entrants’ full names.
