IN & AROUND GARTCOSH- Places & Sites of Interest

Walks around our village, highlighting sites and buildings of historic interest have been an annual feature for club members and other interested parties.  This section will feature some points of interest highlighted by one of our members, Bryan,  during "guided walks" around Gartcosh and other interesting village sites.

The Group hope to produce a downloadable map/ street plan to help visitors locate various points of interest and suggest planned routes.

      Pleasant walks can also be found here DOWNLOAD AND PRINT ........the reserve and paths demonstrate the change in this area as land once used by heavy industry , is now the perfect habitat for a variety of wildlife. 



       Tommy,  our Chairperson,  has taken small group walks to the site around Woodneuk House  on Grey Lady Nights. Here you see some of our members dressed for a winter's evening stroll with Tommy! Bbbbrrrr. 



      Johnston Loch and the area around Gartcosh  are part of the Seven Lochs Initiative  READ ABOUT IT HERE.   Points of historic interest
      will be highlighted on all walking trails and cycling routes.
