My name is Mary Rose Inglis Garrett and this is my professional portfolio assembled in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Masters of Library Science and Information Science degree at Valdosta State University. I am a certified K-12 Media Specialist with an M. Ed. in Instructional technology from the University of Georgia. I have a strong interest in librarianship, particularly in children and youth services and am also am interested in cataloging and collection development. Recently, I had the honor to serve on the 2017-2019 ALSC Notable Children's Book committee where I helped curate a list of exceptional books published during those two years!
