Paula Garda

I work as a Senior Economist, heading the Peru/Colombia desk in the OECD Economics Department conducting economic surveys, macroeconomic forecasts and monitoring and structural surveillance of both countries. I am specialised in Latin American macroeconomic and structural issues. Before I worked as an economist at the Chile, Costa Rica/Italy desk, and before that in the public economics division of the Economics Department. I am also Associate Economist at Centro de Investigaciones Económicas in Uruguay (Cinve).

I hold a PhD in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain.

My main research interests are in the fields of applied economics with special interest in labour economics, applied macroeconomics, and skills development. I have also focused on policy evaluation.
