Google’s global Associate Product Manager program comes to Sydney
We’re excited to announce our first Associate Product Manager positions in Sydney for computer science (or related fields) graduates with up to 3 years experience. APMs
work with engineers to define new features and grow our products by
understanding user needs. What makes a successful APM? Strong
technical, analytical and strategic planning skills, the ability to
define product road maps, review code, conduct research on markets and
our competitors and focus on strategies that impact the direction of
future products. Calling all entrepreneurs!
Google Wave - talks and accounts
Wave launched in limited preview earlier this year. Though demand has
been huge, we’re planning to expedite the process for all pre-existing
newsletter subscribers who would like a Wave account. If you would like

planning to visit universities across Australia and NZ again from March
2010, with talks about Wave’s development, features and a fun Wave

Win a trip to the US for Faculty & Students – Will Australia make it 3 in-a-row?
Ever seen a small business that you thought would blossom if only more people knew about it? Google’s Online Marketing Challenge for
students and professors enters its third year and allows you to do just
that. This year, student team’s from all degree disciplines are
eligible. Australian teams have won the first two global competitions,
including laptops and VIP trips to California. Can you and your friends
make it a hat-trick in 2010?
Open for Questions!
We're opening the floor for questions. Using the same Google tool, Moderator, that the White House
used this year to invite questions from the nation, we're encouraging
all students and faculty to ask questions they'd like answered by
Googlers. You can submit, view or vote on questions here! We'll be responding to the most popular questions in the new year.
Teach for Australia
Google is proud to partner Teach For Australia, an innovative new graduate scheme for high-achieving,
well-rounded graduates in all disciplines. The program trains and
mentors graduates to develop strong leadership skills by placing them
as teachers for two years in disadvantaged schools around Australia. Google is offering two-year deferrals to individuals who are accepted into Teach For Australia’s program and who also receive a full-time offer to join Google. To find out more, please visit Teach For Australia.
