Growing Instructions

Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Pepper) Growing Instructions
Sow seeds1/4”deep in moist soil (80 to 85 degrees). Moisture control soil mix is good to use. Tamp soil lightly. Keep the soil moist and not soggy and do not let it dry out. Transplant outdoors in ground or a container after all danger of frost
has past and plants have at least 4 true leaves. If starting seeds indoors, weather the seedlings before transplanting.
Outdoors can be grown in full sun to partial shade. Pinch the growing tips of young plants to encourage branching. Grow in 3 to 5 gallons container. Keep the soil moist. I recommend adding mulch on top of the soil in pots or on the ground to hold
moisture and reduce weed growth. Fertilize every month 1st and 3rd week with fish fertilizer and bone meal. 2nd week, miracle gro bloom booster and the 4th week miracle gro. Expect ripe fruit for most peppers in about 90 to 100 days after transplanting.

A good example of a moisture control soil mix is Miracle-Gro® Moisture Control Potting Mix, pictured to the right.

Soil-less germination instruction:

Put the seeds in a damp paper towel and seal that in a Ziploc bag. Germination will begin from the following week. Not all seeds germinate at the same time
