The keys to Jeff Galloway's buildup program are the long run and the run/walk method and low weekly mileage. Taken together, they promote a virtually injury free marathon or half marathon buildup experience.
The Milwaukee program starts in April and culminates in the Lakefront Marathon in October for the full marathon program. The half marathon program will have you ready to run the Summerfest Rock N Sole Half Marathon on June 23rd, 2012 as well as the Badgerland Strider's Half marathon in August.
We use a schedule designed so our members will be at peak marathon form for the Lakefront Marathon, but will also work well for any of the many Fall marathons. Similarly, once you do the Rock N Sole you will be ready for additional half marathons in the summer and fall.
