Tatjana Nicolis

was born in Berlin and studied Philosophy and English Literature at the TU-Berlin. The exhibition "We Have Workmen in the House" is a range of her paintings from the the last three years.

The most striking thing in her abstract paintings is her nearly inexhaustible delight in colour. The abstract painting stands for itself. The observer determines the contents or just takes it as what it seems to be. Each single work was created in a moment of pause. It not only reflects this very special moment of creation, which makes this moment to a creative moment, but also reflects the eternal examination of form and area.

In this exhibition she also shows her G8-Duck-installation, which she developed especially for this exhibition with Dr. Karsten Miesel.
