The Global Android Dev Camp takes place from February 17th to 19th, 2012. Android developers from all over the world come together at more than 30 locations and hack for 48 hours - nonstop! Globally, about 1,000 developers are expected - from Berlin, Munich and Dusseldorf, to Warsaw and London, to Brazzaville, Kyoto, San Diego and Kuala Lumpur.

The goal of the global hackathon is to bring together Android communities spread around the world. The global hackathon offers them the opportunity to share knowledge and experiences; to jointly test and evolve existing products and solutions; and to create completely new applications, tools, etc.

And, last but not least, it is also simply about having loads of fun among like-minded people.

Learn about Android

The event will include mini-trainings on the major features of Android, including many of Google's APIs.

Android enthusiasts will be on hand to help and to answer questions throughout the day.

Build with Us or Build Your Own

Throughout the weekend, we will be building a complete Android application and sharing the code with you so you can code along with us. If, on the other hand, you already have a great idea for what to build, bring that idea with you to the hackathon.

Bring along anything you can prepare ahead of time (sketches, designs, webpage mockups, etc.) and use the time and information provided to develop your idea into a working application, then share it with the world.

It's You and the Community

At the end of the day on Sunday, we'll invite you to share your Android application with the group and Global DevCamp Community.
