2006 Awards

I received Second Team Kicker of the Year award among Professional leagues (NFL, NFLE, CFL, Indoor leagues and Semi-pro) from Kicking.com. Here is the link to the site:

Also received the team special teams MVP award from the Budapest Wolves for the 2007 season.

New jerseys

The new jerseys are in, assembled in the Czech Republic from USA materials. Very nice, about the same quality we had in the past 2 years. A few tweaks here and there, and now we are sharp and clean!

My Future

The camp is over. In my opinion, it didn't reflect my abilities very well, I did poorly compared to myself. But I did learn a few things, it's part of the learning process. The new, hard balls weren't that bad, but they did take off 5-10 yards on field goals and kickoffs. Punting was decent, could have been better though. Official results are sent out middle of January, but honestly, I'm not expecting anything here.

NFL Europe

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The national tryout for non-Americans will be held in Cologne, Germany on November 4-10 this fall. Most likely the kickers and punters will be evaluated on the first and second day. I know for a fact that last year only 3 nationals made it to Tampa (Ola Kimrin from Sweden, a Mexican and an Austrialan). Out of the 21 total participants in Tampa, 13 of them received a job in NFL Europe. The ratio is not that bad if you ask me, but it is really hard to make it to Tampa. There, the best college specialists show up and a few pro guys. Under the new national rules no national kickers or punters made it to Tampa last year. I'm not expecting much here, I will still be the youngest guy attending the event, maybe I can hope for something big in a few years down the road.

European Kicking Network

I have created a phpbb2 message board using a free site for European kickers and punters. Please visit the board and register yourself!
