If you have appetite for some side dishes while enjoying your economic entrees (academic journals), you may find the following blogs and radio programs quick yet flavorful.
Economic Blogs
Originally I was planning to browse several blogs focusing on macro and growth regularly. However, I ended up with the following one as it is a one-stop shop, which provides a reasonably large menu for me to choose from.
- Economist's View: Mark Thoma, a macroeconomist at the University of Oregon, publishes a list of links or excerpts to other blog posts as well as posts of his own. You can find a long lists of links to other nutritious blogs in the econ-blogosphere on his blog page. He even classifies every link/post into over fifty categories, which facilitates readers to find the topics of their interests.
Podcasts
- EconTalk: a weekly talk show hosted by Russ Roberts, a research fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution. Featured interview guests range from renowned economics professors, Nobel Prize laureates, to small business owners. Topics include economic growth, free trade, technology, health care, education, finance, politics, and book reviews.
