Fundamentals of Computer Programming course is designed to serve as an introductory course in the undergraduate engineering curriculum at GD Goenka University. It is a compulsory course to all the undergraduates programmes.
This course includes fundamentals of computers; brief introduction to operating system, flow chart, algorithms compilers, linkers before discussing programming in C. This is a mandatory course and the foundation/ pre-requisite for many other courses in the coming semesters.
Course Objectives
The objective of this course is:
To provide an overview of computers and problem solving methods using ‘C’ Language
To serve as a foundation for the study of programming languages.
Learning Outcomes
The student will be able
To learn various problem solving techniques
Understand the basics of computer hardware and software
will be able to write algorithms, flowcharts and implement programs in ‘C’ language.
