This years February Fling will bring a new venue and a different food format. The menu will include passed hearty appetizers instead of the typical banquet hall food. The one complaint I received, "It's the same banquet food every year!" Well not this year! Our new location is at Fairway Banquets which is part of the Niles Park District located at 6676 West Howard Street in Niles. It also happens to be across the parking lot from The Howard Street Inn which is a perfect after "the Fling" location to continue celebrating District 69. Here is the invitation. This years Walkathon will be held at Lincoln Jr High!
Get your walking shoes on and join us for our 13th annual FUND69 Walkathon. The walkathon will begin at Lincoln Jr. High reaching
Madison and Edison and then finishing back at Lincoln. The route is approximately 2.5 miles. All community members and
families are welcome to participate. All walkers under the age of 14 must be
accompanied by an adult. Wagons,
wheelchairs, and strollers are permitted. Bicycles, rollerblades, and other
wheeled vehicles are not permitted.
Single Registration (one shirt included): $15
Family
Registration (four shirts included): $50
Registrations received by September 8th are guaranteed t-shirts in sizes
requested. T-shirts will be distributed on the day of the walk-a-thon. Extra
t-shirts might be available the day of. It is strongly recommended that you
pre-register if you want a specific t-shirt size.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The Walkathon begins
promptly at 9:30 a.m. rain or shine. Parking is available in the
Madison School lots. A Raffle Drawing ($1 tickets or $5 for 6) will take place

Make sure and visit the gift wrap station to visit with a teacher and have your items gift wrapped. Don't forget every purchase helps to benefit the teachers in D69.
