Q. Why should I attend the Fulton Street Conference?

Q. Why is the cost of the conference so high? 

        A. The registration fee helps us cover the costs of hosting a three-day national event in New York City,  including honorariums for high caliber speakers, space costs, and materials. 

 Q. Why is the conference taking place at a hotel?

         A. There is no church large enough to accommodate 2,000 people.  In  addition, a centrally located site in Manhattan is needed in order to make  the event accessible to leaders across the region.

Q. Does the Registration include lodging?

         A. Housing is not included.  Securing hotel rooms in NYC require a down payment and we were also unable to find any reasonable rates.   We are asking participants to book their own hotel rooms.   Click here for a list of suggested accomodations.

Q. Can you recommend lodging in NYC?

         A. A list of housing options can be found on our website (click here).    We suggest checking out websites such as orbitz.com, hotels.com, expedia.com for lower rates.  You may also want to make a bid on priceline.com at about 40% of what is listed on the other sites.   Bidding on Priceline does not allow you to choose which hotel to stay at - you can choose hotel type and area.

 Q. Is transportation included?

         A.  Local transportation costs will be minimal.  Subway rides are $2 each and unlimited subway cards are also available for $7 to $28.   Buses will be provided from the Hilton Hotel to Christian Cultural Center in  Brooklyn at a cost of $10 round trip. 

Q. Do I have to choose a track before the start of the conference? 

         A.  Yes.  This will help us in planning for materials needed.  If you did not choose a trackwhen you registered, you will be contacted by our staff at a later date for your track choice.  If you do not choose a track by the deadline, a track will be chosen for you.

Q. May I change my track choice at the conference?             

        A.  No.  For planning purposes and to ensure that everyone who registered for a track gets the necessary materials, you will not be allowed to change your track choice after August 31.  If you did not choose a trackwhen you registered, you will be contacted by our staff at a later date for your track choice.  If you do not choose a track by the deadline, a track will be chosen for you.
