Kirsten Chapman - Grow Core Leader

Core Leaders are a team of peer leaders who serve Fuel by helping to plan trips, events, lead teams encourage members of Fuel to grow in their Christian walk and leadership.

How did you get involved with Fuel?

After being invited by another friend at work, I ended up going on the houseboat trip. On the trip someone got me connected in a small group. I ended up going on a trip to Estado with my small group and Fuel has been an integral part of my life ever since!

Why are you involved with Grow? What does it mean to you?

Fuel has provided the community I've been searching for since graduating from college. I had never felt so welcomed before and the friends that I have now are some of the best friends that I've ever had. My spiritual growth has been significantly challenged and encouraged over this last year and I attribute it to how God has been working through people at Fuel in my life. The Grow ministry is important to me because there is nothing I find greater joy in than helping others to see a bigger picture of who God is and helping them find their ultimate fulfillment and satisfaction in Christ.

What is your favorite thing about Fuel or a favorite Fuel memory?

It's a tough call between the snowball fight that erupted between the girls and guys at Snow 20 last year or Christina and Adam's microphone duet at the Growlong Retreat...I don't think I've ever laughed as hard as I did when they had the mic-wa-phone...

What are your favorite things?

I love my rainbow sandals, diet coke, hazelnut lattes from Starbucks, People magazines (even out for my small group girls!), basketball, taking naps, and Chipotle.
