In word and witness our ministries announce the evangelical message of peace and penitence. We serve the people of God in a variety of ways. We are sent to share the values of the Gospel, especially justice and peace.

Committed to a unity of mission in a diversity of ministries, Franciscan Sisters of Peace fill the following roles: pastoral associate, classroom teacher, social worker, counselor, educator in inner city learning center, staff member in schools, hospice nurse, visitor to the homebound and nursing home residents, supervisor in low income housing, spiritual director, prayer partners to all who request prayers, administrator and staff in archdiocesan offices, canon lawyer, advocate of detainees in detention centers, and in global evangelization.

The Franciscan Sisters of Peace minister in the archdioceses of New York, Newark, NJ, and San Francisco, CA; in the dioceses of Paterson and Metuchen in NJ; and Tucson, AZ. Like Francis and Clare, their journey is ongoing, responding to the call of the Lord and the needs of God’s People.
