New Blog Post -- 'Intellectual Wrestling When Contemplating Leaving a Company'

Struggling with the decision of whether to stay with a company or leave is a common mental struggle.  I, myself, have participated in these mental gymnastics on more than one occasion and have observed many collegues go through it as well.  I suggest some counter-points to typical concerns you may go through.

Enjoy.

Twin Cities Code Camp 2019

posted Apr 14, 2019, 7:37 AM by Grant Lipelt

Yesterday I attended the TCCC MN conference; https://twincitiescodecamp.com/#/home

This free conference was hosted at the Normandale College in Bloomington, one of the nicest facilities to hold a conference, and lucky for me just a short jaunt from home.

A pretty broad stroke of topics, primarily Microsoft-centric, and while I tend to be toward the Linux side of the camp still some interesting topics.

The first talk I attended was focused on 'Imposter Syndrome', the speaker taking an atypical path to becoming a software developer and like many junior workers encountering insecurity in their abilities on occasion.
Other talks I attended revolved around structured logging, Kubernetes, user authentication as a service, and finally developing loosely coupled software systems.

The conference was very well organized and well run.  Prized awarded post conference and a worthy use of a Saturday.

Cheers.
