U Fli Championships 2013 in the books!

FSA had a great championship weekend!! Friday we had green dogs JJ and Tug run singles in a day of heavy races. The dogs ran more than they ever have before and did great. Luigi got to run on the Rat Terrier Dream Team and had a blast running with the other rats! Saturday and Sunday All Paws on Deck ram with Zip from Dogs Gone Wild, all 3 green dogs (JJ, Tug and Zip) did great and ran hard and clean all weekend! Thanks Alissa for running with us! And last but certainly not least.... Our championship team was an absolute thing of beauty! After several changes in our lineup for year jeep, wisp, solo and Maggie pulled it together and ran several 17s races! We faced some very stiff competition and although we didn't take the division, teamwork and consistency paid off as we pulled out 5th place of 9 teams entered. Our best time of the weekend was a 17.573 which was just 100th of a second from 4th place!! So proud of my teammates and very happy to see all of our local teams race hard in St. Louis! Bring it on 2014!!

Burnin Up Bricktown!

It has been almost a week since we hosted our first ever U-Fli Tournament! Burnin' Up Bricktown was a huge success with great times had by all! We would like to thank all of the teams that participated, especially Dogs Gone Wild for the use of their Mats and HyperFlight for the use of Mike :). The support we received during their monumental task was impressive to say the least and we could not have done it without all you!
FSA had many green dogs take their first steps in preflight at this tournament! Buster, JJ, Lark, Mick, Rogue, Roux and Jet (white Jet to those on the team ;) ). All did very well and gave us hopes for a 3rd team in the near future! Our former green dogs ran on various teams throughout the weekend and ran like pros! And our core dogs were solid as always!
In the Singles and Pairs lanes we had Quigli fighting for his title as fastest CKC, he didn't quite get it back this time but posted some great times and made several new fans! Solo and Jeep (Bad Boys) tore up the lanes and showed us all how hard work can really pay off! Those 2 were flying! Jet and Maggie also ran pairs this weekend as Guilty By Association. They ran some amazing times and were both very consistent!
Thank you again to all of those that supported our team, donated a raffle basket or their time and were able to come out to the tournament. Our success depends on the dog sport family we have in our community and flyball community and we have one heck of a support system!

Grove and Green Dogs!

The 2012 Great Plains Qualifier was held in Grove, OK on May 5-6th. Dogs Gone Wild once again hosted a great qualifier!

This was a fateful weekend from the beginning! With Zio out of commission due to injury we were mixing dogs all around and adding green dogs (Jasmine, Lucky, Lucy, Luna, Maggie and Maverick) to fill out the teams from the beginning. Low and behold over the weekend 2 more experienced dogs (Jet & Luigi) were injured. With only 5 veteran racers to fill out 2 teams, the fate of the team rested on the shoulders of the new dogs. These guys did an amazing job and ran solid all weekend! We could not have been more proud! Big congratulations go to: Bruce (Luna), Amanda (Jasmine), Amanda (Maggie), John (Lucky & Lucy) and Michele (Maverick) for stepping up and running great on teams! The future of FSA is looking good :)!

Look for our Green Team in June!.... and pray for no more injuries ;) !
