Around the World in 80 Countries

What to find on this site?              Curated Version

For those seeking the thrills of adventures without joining the special forces, I will recommend Border Crossings in remote parts of the world. A nice way to cross a lot of borders in a limited amount of time is to bag one of the big "Roads" like the Silk Road or participate in multisports Races[you can take bigger risks as rescue teams are available]. Another way to put yourself in a risky situation is to explore Rebel Zones with active guerrillas or climb Active Volcanoes.

My Travels in 80 Countries

I am a Cloud Computing
consultant living in Jakarta, married with an Indonesian geologist. Our hobby is multi-day trekking, especially on Indonesia volcanoes
ranges. Also, I give in this site some accounts of my 2 sabbatical leaves to bag the Silk Road in 2004 and the Gringo Road in 2011.
