Yields about 18-20 brownies.
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. dark chocolate cocoa powder (I use Hershey's)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sour cream
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Prepare your baking pans. Use either 2 square 8" pans or one 9x13" pan; lightly grease the pan(s).
First, combine butter, sugar and milk in a saucepan. Cook over low-medium heat until the ingredients have all combined together. Now pour in some dark chocolate cocoa powder and 1 tsp. vanilla extract. Stir and remove from heat. In a large mixing bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt. Stir the chocolate mixture into the dry ingredients along with sour cream. Beat two eggs together. Add a spoonful of the chocolate mixture from the mixing bowl; beat. Now pour the beaten eggs into the large mixing bowl and stir until all the ingredients are well combined.
Pour the batter into prepared baking pans. Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes or until the center is set but still moist.
