4 Ribeye steaks
2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
Kosher salt and pepper
2 tbsp. butter
1 medium shallot, minced
1 medium onion, sliced thinly
1 cup red wine
1/2 tsp. dried italian seasoning
On each side of the steaks, rub them with the worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Grill steaks until they reach your desired level of done-ness. I'm a medium-well girl myself so I usually give mine 8-10 minutes per side and my husband's (he's a medium-rare guy) about 5-8 minutes per side.
While the steaks are grilling, melt butter in a skillet. Add shallot and onion. Cook for a couple minutes or until they have softened. Pour in wine and add italian seasoning. Bring the sauce to a low boil and maintain it until the wine reduces in half it's volume and becomes thick. The alcohol will cook off so it's perfectly safe to serve on a child's steak too.
Remove steaks from grill. Pour wine sauce over each steak. Let rest for a couple minutes before serving.
