Creole Turkey Burger with Caramelized Onions

Serves 4


1 large onion, sliced

2 teaspoons brown sugar

1 lb. ground turkey

1 tsp. chili powder

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp. ranch dressing


4 hamburger buns

1 tbsp. butter

Fresh baby spinach (optional)


In a large skillet, drizzle a bit of oil and add onions along with the brown sugar. Season with salt and pepper. Saute over medium-low heat until caramelized (they'll look tan).

In a bowl, combine turkey meat, spices, worcestershire sauce and ranch dressing. Grill your bugers until cooked through (poultry has to be cooked to well done). Spread butter on the hamburger buns. Toast or grill them until golden brown. Add burger patty to the bun, top with caramelized onions, spinach, and your favorite condiments.
