27 Garage

The garage dates from the 1950s and originally had an earthen floor. For some time it was in a run-down condition and has only recently been restored, thanks to an anonymous donation.

Nowadays the garage is used as a venue for community fund-raising activities. The primary use is for storage of second-hand books that are sold at the bi-monthly book sales, (first and third Saturdays of each month).

The money raised from the book sales. along with garden produce, is used by the Friends of Williams House to provide facilities for community use in Williams House and books for the Library.
