WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE
“Friends of Langley Park” was formed in October 2008 in order to campaign for improvements in Langley Park, Langley, West Midlands.
Langley Park is a small urban park in Langley, Oldbury in the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell, West Midlands.
The logo of the group is reproduced above. It was produced after a competition involving pupils from Langley Primary School.
The winning entry was designed by a pupil from the School, Thomas Pople , and is used by the group on all its publications and publicity. It is also displayed in the Langley Park Community Centre. The Group was established with the help of a small grant from the Oldbury Town Committee. The grant was used to get the group established. Since the formation of the Group, it has been working towards achieving charitable status and on a variety of fund raising events. The events have included pub quizes, a “Frog Racing Night” and car boot sales. The Group also took part in the "Big Spring Clean". ”Friends of Langley Park” FUNDAY SATURDAY 14 AUGUST 2010 10.30 am -3.00 pm Karate Display 11.15 -11.45 am Wellie wanging 12.00 noon - 12.30 pm Children’s Races 1.00 pm – 2.00 pm SCRUFFS NOVELTY DOG SHOW BOUNCY CASTLE ICE CREAMS REFRESHMENTS FACE PAINTING FANCY DRESS COMPETITION AND MUCH MORE!
