Membership in Friends of Kenya is open to anyone who shares our goals. You do not need to be a Returned Peace Corps volunteer (RPCV) to join.

Your money will be used to help people in Kenya, through a variety of
projects (see Projects). This Web site, which brings you information about Kenya as well as activities and projects of FOK, is a major benefit. Your membership makes this site possible. A small portion of your dues covers administrative expenses (conference calls, printing costs, and so forth).

* Friend of Kenya ($15)
* Sustaining Member ($25)
* Contributing Member (over $25)
* Economy Member (for current or newly returned PCVs or those in financial circumstances) (any amount)

Joining Friends of Kenya
Please print out and complete the below membership form (PDF file). Send it with your check to the address on the form.

Friends of Kenya / Marafiki wa Kenya is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your donations are tax deductible.

Board of Directors Nominations
The terms for several FOK Board members expire each summer (in the northern hemisphere). Nominations for new members are accepted and elections are held.

Please consider becoming a candidate for the FOK Board. Only by taking turns at the wheel can we continue to serve each other and serve Kenya. Friends of Kenya needs your help. Participate!

Nominating Yourself or Someone Else
Nomination requires only the signatures of two FOK members, including the nominee, with a brief statement by the nominee.

Please print out and complete the membership form below -- it is a pdf document.

Forms must be received by December 1 of each year.

Serving on the Board of Directors
The FOK Board of Directors oversees FOK activities such as membership, finances, the Web site, projects, events, and conferences. It meets once a month by conference call. Board members also try to attend the FOK General Meeting, held at the time and place of the National RPCV Conference.

FOK Board members serve for one-year terms and are elected each summer.

Please consider serving on the FOK Board. Only by taking turns at the wheel can we continue to serve each other and serve Kenya. If you are interested, contact any member of the board.
