Being a non-profit organization, Friends of Jessamine County Animals, Inc. relies heavily on donations from generous individuals and local businesses in our community. Each and every gift is used to better the lives of the animals in our care. Many come from very bad situations and are in poor health; therefore extra vetting is generally required to get them ready for adoption. We thank you for opening your heart and helping to make a difference in the life of one of these animals. There are numerous ways in which you can donate to our organization. Please see below for more information.

Sponsor an Animal

Are you an animal lover but can't adopt? Not a problem! You can be a sponsor! Sponsoring an animal simply means that you donate money to cover a portion of a specific animal's adoption fee or extra vetting they may have required. Many of our animals come to us requiring extra medical attention that their adoption fee does not cover (i.e. dental cleanings, mange treatments, hernia repair, etc.) Other animals are simply considered harder to adopt due to socialization issues, age, breed, etc. These animals generally are in our group longer before they find an understanding home. We never turn our back on these animals; just find a way to give them the love and support they need in order to be adopted.

If you're interested in being a sponsor, look through our list of adoptable animals and select one that pulls at your heart strings. Maybe one looks like a childhood pet or has a similar story to your pet. Your donation can then be made online via paypal (see button above) or by mail. Be sure to let us know which animal you've selected to sponsor.
