History of Our Event:

Our Event was brought together after we lost our long time friend Jaime S. Rivera to Cancer in July 2007.   Jaime was born January 17, 1974  in Springfield, Ma. Not long after  birth Jaime was diagnosed with Spina Bifida and through the intervention of Dr. James Fisher, Jaime became a patient at Shriners Hospital for Children in Springfield, Ma and he and his family became part of the hospital's extended family.  Through age 24 Jaime underwent several hip and ankle operations.  Thanks to Shriners Jaime was able to live a productive life.  Jaime graduated from Agawam High School in 1993. Jaime was able to drive a car, work, live alone, and he even drove a go-cart at Whip City Speedway in 1998.  Jaime drove quads, snowmobiles and anything else he could.  Jaime loved camping and  fishing  he was a great fan of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and also a huge fan of Nascar auto racing which he attended many races at Riverside Park Speedway, Stafford Motor Speedway and New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  Jaime was able to take care of himself and do pretty much whatever he wanted up until when he was diagnosed withstomach Cancer in January 2007 then his family and friends took over and made sure he was able do what he wanted.  Jaime lost his battle on July 9Th 2007.  Jaime has many family and friends so we wanted to find a way to celebrate Jaime's life and show how great of a person he was.  So we came up with the idea to have a car show  in his Honor which he was a big fan of.  Jaime was a proud member of the Valley Cruisers out of Agawam, Ma.  We also decided that the  money should go to the people that helped Jaime when he was younger Shriners Hospital for Children.  Our goal of this event is to raise as much money as possible for Shriners and have a great time in the process.
