Bowling Pavilion

The Bowling Pavilion is in the middle of the park, the front of the pavilion faces the bowling greens.

The Pavilion, thanks to a grant from Wren (and help from the Friends), was upgraded by Warrington Borough Council in early 2015, being formally opened in May 2015

The pavilion has a disabled access ramp allowing the facility to be used by everyone.

Once you enter the pavilion (as you look at the picture) Straight ahead is a disabled toilet. (if the pavilion is closed the library is able to provide disabled access to toilet facilities)

The rest of the interior has  become an open plan area with the kitchen to the left which is the home of the Cafe in the Park with the bowling clubs trophies and lockers to the right of the room.

On bowling days the pavilion tends to be used the Stockton Heath Seniors Bowling club.

A Defibrillator machine is available for emergency use in the pavilion which has been purchased by the Bowls section after a grant from the Stronger Together  action group for Warrington South that works in conjunction with Warrington Borough Council.

The upgrade has made the pavilion a great community facility that is available for hire by local community groups. Since its upgrade the pavilion has been used by many diverse groups for things like an art class, choir rehearsal room, knitting group, Tai chi class as well as a meeting room. Please contact the Friends group for more information if you are looking for a local space to hire.
