GREAT NEWS! OUR JUNE 30TH GOLF OUTING WAS A HUGE SUCCESS !  THAN YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ATTENDED, DONATED, CONTRIBUTED AND VOLUNTEERED TO A GREAT DAY OF GOLF FOR EVERYONE!

JUNE 30, 2016 - Help these local families in need by participating in our event!

Sam Bombardiere
Sam Bombardiere is a resident of Toms River. She recently underwent emergency surgery to remove a large mass on her right ovary. The family was devastated when they found out that the mass was malignant.
Sam is a freshman at Centenary College where she plays on the women’s soccer team. Not only is she an athlete
who kicks serious butt on the soccer field, but she is also a straight A student. Sam is beautiful, intelligent, caring, and hilarious, and she needs your help.

Her treatment will be a long and tough battle, not only on her but also on her entire family. Financially, the family will be struggling with treatment, traveling, and added expenses that come with this upsetting diagnosis.

Jacob Bissiloto
Jacob Basilotto is a 15-year-old high school freshman at Brick Township High School. Although he was born with just half a heart, over the years he has proven that he has more heart than most.  Jacob was born with a Congenital Heart Defect known as HLHS (Hypo-plastic Left Heart Syndrome).  Since December 10, 2015, Jacob has been on the waiting list for a heart transplant and is considered the most urgent.

Jacob has undergone multiple invasive medical interventions including four open heart surgeries, at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), frequent testing and an abundance of different medications and therapies since he was born.  A couple of years ago, they were told that he only has one working kidney, which has made it even more difficult as he, the team of doctors, and his family wove their way through different medical treatments over the years.  At the age of five, Jacob developed PLE (Protein-Losing Enteropathy), which further complicated his already-complex condition and came with a myriad of new symptoms which have made it impossible for him to live a normal teenage life.

UPDATE:  THANKS TO ALL 300+ THAT CAME OUT TO SUPPORT OUR FAMILIES!  YOUR GENEROSITY INSPIRES US TO KEEP HELPING SO THANK YOU!!!!!

Come out this year for our annual event as we gather to lend our support to:

 ERNIE ANDERSEN
A local Ocean County resident recently dianosed with cancer.  Days prior to going to the doctor for not feeling well, Ernie was laid off from his job prior to qualifying for health benefits.  In addition, he was denied disability from the government for his illness and hardship.  During this time, his wife and 2 beautiful daughters have been there during his battle, which he vows to win.  Lets help Ernie and his family with their mounting medical bills during this trying and emotional time, when it feels like no one is on their side.  Let's show them FHF of NJ is there to help support them!

THE FAMILY OF ALAN DAVID WEINSTEIN
After standing by his wifes side during her successful battle with cancer, Alan Weinstein was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.  In addition, it was discovered that has a bad heart valve which was making it difficult to breathe.  After steady progress, and a positive hospital visit by his family, Alan became unresponsive and passed away on February 16, 2015, just days before his 54th birthday.  Lets help the Weinstein family - his wife and beautiful loving daugthers - who lost their husband and father, during this trying time.  With 2 battles to now pay for, they have extremely high medical expenses that they need "friends" to step in and lend a hand.
