Fresno STARTALK 2019: A Summer Chinese Program

Program Overview:

STARTALK, an NSA funded program, provides American youth opportunities to learn languages of critical importance to our national security. At Fresno STARTALK, we are committed to providing a fun and engaging immersion experience of learning Chinese to students in the Central Valley. Space is limited to 40 current 3rd-8th grade students.  We offer early and regular admission to help your family plan your summer, and  encourage you to apply early to ensure a space for your child.


Program Information:

Early Registration: Friday, May 10, 2019 (extended)   Notification Date: May 17. 2019

Registration Deadline: Saturday, June 1, 2019               Notification Date: June 8,  2019

Program Dates: Monday June 24, 2019 - Saturday July 13, 2019

Location: Fresno State Campus

Time: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-12:30pm

One-Day Field Trip: San Francisco Asian Art Museum and Chinatown. Date: 7/13/2019

Program Cost: $30 administrative fee only upon acceptance.  

Snacks: Yes. Students are expected to bring their own water bottles to class.
