Saturday, October 27th, at 1:00 p.m. Evelyn will be in the museum for a signing on her new book - Through a Country Town Cookbook. While there tour the Fremont County History Center, Rodeo Museum, Country Schoolhouse, Genealogy Library, and Museum Annex. Movies with popcorn and other refreshments. The Open House events continue through Sunday, October 28th.

Fremont County History Center/Iowa's Championship Rodeo Museum will be open Tuesday - Saturday, July 31st - Aug. 4th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Located at 609 Cass Street - 1/2 Block East of the Courthouse

Popcorn/Movie Sunday, April 22nd - 2:00 p.m.

Join us for popcorn and a movie at the museum the 3rd Sunday of each month free of charge. This Sunday we are showing the History of Iowa Country Schools and the History of Civil Bend/Ricketts family story.

Gathering Place, Sunday, February 18th at 2:00 p.m. Come see Danny Steiber and learn about the history of barn quilts and the underground railroad through Iowa in the 1800's. The program is free to the public.

Watch a Movie - The History of Civil Bend and the Richard Ricketts Family - FCHS has just acquired this documentary which was recently produced by the Ricketts family. It will be shown in our Vogel Popcorn Theater both days. Enjoy popcorn while watching the movie and other refreshments served during the open house.
