Beyond the most obvious functions, suitable for most mortals, Windows 7 includes a number of features and options for advanced users or network administrators who use it daily as their tool.
At the administrative level Windows 7 has improved in many respects against Windows Vista, although it maintains with that many things in common, most focused on strengthening the security of the system against external attacks and, above all, “gaffes” of own users at any given time can damage the environment. Here we show you some tricks that will allow you to take full control of Windows and squeeze some of its more advanced facets.

1. Enable the Administrator account

The default administrator account is disabled in Windows 7, to reduce a possible attack harmful software or change the system by user. However, its use will be very useful in certain situations where we need total control over the computer.
For activation, will go to Start / Control Panel / System and Security / Administrative / Computer Management Tools. Once here, a window will open, on the route Computer Management (Local) / System Tools / Local Users and / Users groups, find a list of the users of the system in which said user appears Manager disabled. To activate it, we simply double-click on it and unchecked the box Account is disabled, after which pincharemos on OK.
Finally, since the account is created without input protection, we will click with the right mouse button on it and pincharemos on Reset Password, bringing us a dialog box appears to insert the selected key.

2. Security Policies

As is the case with Security Policies on Active Directory in Windows 7 you can adjust a number of local policies. If we access the window Administrative Tools in the path of the previous trick, we can click on the icon Local Security Policy. Next, a window, spread over different sections will open; will, find plenty of options for adjusting the safety and protection behavior. For example, under Account Policies we can create a policy on the quality of the password or other account blocking after a series of failed attempts. Under the section Local Policies find the bulk of options, to the point of controlling the time change, use paging file or who can shut down the machine.

3. Meticulous firewall management

When viewing options Windows Firewall from Control Panel is easy to think that this is a somewhat limited tool, but nothing is further from reality. As in earlier tricks, we will go to Administrative Tools, and pincharemos about Windows Firewall with Advanced Security.
Then a window will pop Inbound Rules and Outbound Rules to set up different profiles limit network filtering based on programs and protocols. In addition, under the section Monitoring / Firewall, you can find real - time active or open the computer connections.Check this site too http://cracksoftwaresfree.com

4. Create units in mirror

With Windows 7 there is the opportunity to emulate a RAID 1 controller mounting two mirror disks, so that one keeps an exact copy of the other. For this purpose, we will need two internal disk drives. They must be equal, if not; the secondary should have equal or greater capacity than the principal.

To create the mirror, we will go to administrative / Computer Management / Storage / Disk Management Tools for all units in the system. On the partition of the main unit, we will click with the right mouse button and pincharemos on Add reflection, which a wizard that will ask the secondary drive on which the partition will be replicated start. When the configuration is complete data from both units, a process whose duration will depend on the amount of stored data is synchronized.

5. Older drivers

Windows 7 is quite easy to have problems with older drivers, both devices that do not already have, like others we have tried to install but have not been able for the most varied reasons. Luckily, there is a way to visualize and remove these old drivers in the system. Will go to Control Panel / System and Security / System / Advanced System Settings.

In the new window that appears, under the tab Advanced Options, pincharemos in environment variables. In the next window, in the lower section of System Variables, press in New. As the name, enter devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices and, as value, we will assign one. After that, we will press OK to exit all windows and will restart the system.

Once started, back to Advanced System Settings and in the tab Hardware, pincharemos on Device Manager. Then we will see all devices on the computer, after clicking on View / Show hidden devices, we are presented with a dithering device that at some point have been installed and can remove easily now that we have ahead icon and also get windows loader download.

6. Encryption units

if you have Windows 7 Ultimate, you can encrypt disks and removable drives with BitLocker. To do this, simply click the right mouse button on the drive you want to encrypt and click on the option Enable BitLocker. Thus, an assistant to do encryption of all, information on the disc, which will use the data with the disk connected to another PC or from another user account is impossible to start.

7. Generate a system image

Once configured and tuned our system, it can be very interesting to create a complete picture of it too, in this way, restore to that particular moment when we want. It is also a very handy feature if you need to deploy a single installation on multiple network computers in an easy way.So; we will go to Control Panel / System and Security / Backup and Restore to click on Create a system image. Then, one will start wizard where you can choose to dump the image on an external drive (must be NTFS), different CD / DVD or a network location.

8. Network Connections on the desktop

If we are an advanced user who needs often change or check the configuration of network adapters in Windows 7, the process can be tedious and long. We will have to go to the Center Network and Sharing and, from there, navigate to find what we need.
To solve this, there is a simple trick that allows you to create a shortcut to the folder on the desktop system connections (in Windows XP had in the Control Panel, but has now disappeared). To do so, on the desktop, we click the right mouse button and select New / Shortcut, introducing explorer.exe:: AAD2-00805FC1270E} {7007ACC7-3202-11D1- as the command to run. We follow the wizard, indicating the name you want for the shortcut. This done, we will have a new icon on the desktop, when you click on it, show us directly the adapters in the team.
