2025 Mobile Phone Drive

There is a current Australian program to collect old mobile phones, most of these phones are destroyed, what a waste. Each year I collect working mobiles, any age, pack them and send them to the Philippines where they are given away to people who need, but can not afford the luxury of simple communication.

 If you are lucky enough to have a job in the Philippines and live in the country you would expect a wage of about 3-8 bucks a day. You say, "how can they afford to call anyone"??? easy the carriers over there allow shared credit, lots of free texts etc. So the only issue is getting older working mobile to give away.

You can still buy pre 2010 mobiles etc. from shops there at prices out of reach for most.

Working mobiles are our main goal however clothing in good condition will also be accepted gratefully and shipped.

My promise

No money advantage to me, it costs me about 150 bucks to send a box by boat and they take about 6 weeks to arrive. I wear that cost as I also send over clothes as my in-laws work with the church and the stuff is given away.

I do check the phones and buy a housing if needed however I can not repair not working phones.( my expense also).
