The very purpose of the FRD is based on the principles of mutual respect, gender sensitivity and rights based approach. The main focus of FRD is on the long term development of the areas of its geographical coverage, but is always active in humanitarian response whenever need arises. The term development as used in the context of FRD is an inclusive term which includes but is not limited to education, health, economic development (Livelihoods), Community infrastructure, Protection and equality of human beings and social inclusion.
