Game info for Teams

            A. The Fall Classic will play the 2011 “LogoMotion” game.

        B. SCORING and RULE CHANGES (TENTATIVE - i.e., still under discussion)
Scoring and rules will be the same as the official FIRST “LogoMotion” with the following exceptions:

    1. Ubertubes may be place on scoring pegs during teleoperated mode to double point value of any game piece placed over the Ubertube. Only Ubertubes placed during autonomous mode earn a 6-point bonus.
    2. Game pieces scored on the bottom row are worth 2-points each (rather than 1-point).
    3. Minibot scoring is as follows: 1st and 2nd place - 20 points, 3rd and 4th place - 15 points

            C. ALLIANCE SELECTION & TOURNAMENT PLAY (UNDER REVIEW)
  1. Alliances will consist of four teams. Alliance selection will be in forward order (1, 2, 3, ...) for the second teams, in forward order for the third teams, and in reverse order for the fourth teams. The alliance captains will have full discretion on which three teams play each match. There is no requirement that all teams in the alliance play an elimination match.
  2. If 20 to 30 teams compete, the elimination tournament will be played with 6 Alliances. The #1 and #2 alliances will receive "byes" in the quarterfinal round and compete as semi-finalists. If 18 - 23 teams register, the six alliances will consist of 3 teams instead of 4 teams.
  3. If fewer than 18 teams register, the elimination round will be played with 4 Alliances (semi-finals and finals).
  4. Alliances are allowed One Six Minute Time-Out during the Tournament Play. Alliances may not give their time out to the other alliance.

Robot Inspection

Only basic inspection will be performed on previously inspected robots- come prepared to point out any major modifications, potential safety hazards, and new robots. A five-pound allowance is provided for the robots to accommodate repairs and minor upgrades. We will not weigh robots, but do expect teams to exhibit "GP" regarding modifications to their robots.
