Office Hour & Assistantship

- There is no reservation system. First come, first serve. Email request for appointment will not be answered.
- Frank's office hour is not for tutoring. Students are encouraged to use class discussion group email for all technical questions. Ability to discuss technical questions in open forums is an essential skill in engineering life. Check out how to ask questions on this note too.
- Students in Frank's advising group can catch frank before or after class in office. No need to wait for office hour either.
- From time to time, Frank may need to skip office hour, but email always works. If needed, web chat/call are available too.

- Frank does not do any research :-( There is NO RA period. Any email request / application will not be answered, sorry.
- In general, Frank's classes have ISA available. The preference is given to past student from the same class who has demonstrated:
  - personality and ability to help others
  - mastery of the subjects
  - first generation college kids (yes, they have a special place)

In other words,
- - if you did not take Frank's CMPE 126 class, don't bother to apply for CMPE 126 TA
  - if you did not take Frank's CMPE 148 class, don't bother to apply for CMPE 148 TA
  - if you are first generation college kids in your family, please do let Frank know.
