This week the 2015 Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place. The meeting included a report from the Chairman (Dave Palmer), reporting that we have had a successful year with both individual and club successes being seen across club members. He congratulated paddlers on their Waterside and DW achievements and at the National and international races, and highlighted the great teamwork of non-paddling members of the club for their great support at races throughout the year. The 2015 AGM included an election of committee members, which after a secret ballot, had the following results:

To conclude the 2015 AGM Brian Greenaway gave a speech. He stated that during the Waterside series we gained the 1st senior team, 1st Senior K2 (Michael Southey and Ryan Pearce) and the 1st Junior K2 (Dan Palmer and Connor Peters). During DW we gained 1st place for the junior K2 race (Dan and Connor) as well as 3rd place in the Veteran K1 race (Andy Parritt). Brian also went on to congratulate Matt for his GB development trip to Gent, and Bronte for her selection and success at the French National Marathon Championships, before discussing our past results at DW and giving a history of the clubs achievements over the years.
Well done to all members of Fowey River Canoe Club, both paddlers and non-paddlers alike, for a successful year during the 2015 season and we look forward to all the fun and hopefully the success that 2016 will bring for the club and members.
