The Park District of Forest Park Aquatic Center is the coolest place to be this summer! 

Whether you want to take a dip or relax in the sun, we have something for everyone. The Aquatic Center features a zero-depth 367,000 gallon pool, two drop slides, two flume slides, a diving board, lap lanes, a splash pad with interactive play structures, a full-service concession stand and much more!

Pool Rules and Regulations

Pool rules and regulations are established for everyone’s safety. Parents / Guardians are responsible for the supervision of their children. Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of the patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. Therefore, anyone entering the pool is personally responsible. A complete list of rules is posted at the Aquatic Center. In addition, a sheet listing rules may be picked up at the AquaticCenter entrance, Pool Manager’s Office or the Administrative Office. A PDF of the Pool Rules is also available at the bottom of this page. Additional rules may be added at any time for your protection. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Dress Code: All persons entering the aquatic center must be properly covered and it is strongly REQUESTED that everyone who enters the facility wear a swimming suit. No one is permitted in the water (including spraypark and wading area) unless they are wearing a lined bathing suit and patrons will be expelled from the facility for failure to adhere to this rule. Clothing such as cutoffs, sweats, workout clothing, basketball shorts, leotards, etc. are not permitted in ANY water features. All shoes must be removed before exiting the locker rooms. Refunds will not be issued to those patrons expelled from the facility for improper attire in any area of the aquatic center.

Frequently Asked Questions:

I purchased a pool pass but have not gotten my picture taken yet for the pass. Can I still go to the pool?  Payment receipts will not be accepted for entrance after 5 days of purchase.  Pass holders will need to present their pass  inorder to avoid paying the daily gate fee.

Can I use my credit card to pay for entrance to the pool?  No, the pool entrance is cash only. There is an ATM located at the pool entrance for your convenience.

I paid the daily fee to enter the pool. Can I use it towards the purchase of a pool pass?   Daily admission fees are not deductible from season pass purchases.

If the pool closes because of weather, can I get a refund? Refunds will not be issued for closings due to weather situations. Refunds will not be given for any reason after payment has taken place and patrons have participated in the use of the pool

I paid the daily gate fee. Can I leave the pool and come back in?  Guests who pay the daily gate fee may not leave and re-enter the facility.

I lost my pass. What should I do?:  Lost passes are the responsibility of the holder and must be replaced to gain entrance to the pool.  Replacement passes are $6.00.

Is there somewhere to store my personal belongings? Coin-operated lockers to hold swimmers’ clothes and personal belongings are located in the locker rooms.  There is a small charge for each use.  The Park District is not responsible for any lost, misplaced or stolen articles.  Swimming pool patrons are advised not to leave valuables in unlocked lockers.  Lost locker keys are the responsibility of the holder and must be replaced to gain further entrance to the pool.  Replacement fee is $5.00.

Only a small bag will be allowed on deck to accommodate those people who want to store their towel and other personal items. The Park District offers bags for purchase. We do reserve the right to check any bag entering the facility. Please note that there is a limited list of contents that will be allowed in one’s bag. All other contents not allowed on deck must be kept in the coin lockers located in each locker room. 

Can I bring my own food into the pool?  No food or beverages can to be brought into the facility.  These items will be confiscated by staff.  We do provide Concessions, offering an assortment of meals, snacks and beverages.  Food and beverage may only be consumed within the area of the Concession Stand.  Clear plastic water bottles and baby bottles will be allowed on deck with the contents of water only.

Is there a smoking area?  NO smoking is allowed anywhere in the Aquatic Center or Concession area.   

I forgot my bathing suit. Can I swim in my shorts and t-shirt? Does my child need to wear a swim diaper in the water? Any child who is not potty trained MUST be wearing a secure fitting plastic or rubber swim pant.  Disposable swim diapers are acceptable, but it is recommended that tight fitting plastic or rubber swim pants also cover them.  Disposable swim diapers are available for purchase at the entrance of the facility.  Disposable diapers are NOT permitted.

Are strollers allowed in the pool area? Strollers will be allowed on deck in designated stroller parking areas only.  A stroller must never be left unattended with a child in its seat. 

Who can use the chairs?  Chairs are available for anyone 18 years old age and over.  To allow chairs for as many patrons as possible we ask that participants do not save or reserve chairs.  Chairs may not be placed at or near the edge of the pool for safety reasons.

My child wants to go down the slide. Can he/she ride down with me?  To ride the water slide you must be as least 40 inches tall and able to swim one width of the pool unassisted.  Children are not allowed to ride with a parent or in chains.  A parent may not catch children. 

Can I bring in my own pool toys and rafts?  Toys, inner tubes, water wings, diving disks, scuba gear, skin gear and personal floatation devices (PFDs) are not allowed in the pool without special permission from the Pool Manager.  All PFDs must have a Coast Guard approval statement printed on the device to be permitted.  The Park District has a limited number of PFDs for use available in the manager’s office. 

What are the Lap Lane rules?:  Two lap lanes are available for use by anyone over the age of 18 wishing to swim laps during public swim times.  Lap swimmers should stay on the right hand side of the lane and swim in a circular direction any time more than 2 people want to use the lap lanes. “Staying to the right” allows greater use of the lanes and prevents collisions.  Lap lanes are reserved for adults only, unless stated otherwise by management. 

Is there a Lost and Found?  The Park District is not responsible for lost, missing or stolen articles.  Any articles found at the facility will be held in the Pool Manager’s Office for three days.
