Foothill College Educational Technology Leadership Program
The Philippines, Pangasinan Province


Foothill College and the Krause Center for Innovation are pleased to work with the Province of Pangasinan on this unique educational technology professional development program to transform teaching and learning throughout the Philippines.

The Foothill College Educational Technology Leadership Program was held April 1 - 12, 2013, in the Pangasinan Province, Republic of the Philippines at the Daniel Maramba National High School in Santa Barbara.

This innovative two-week training program presented a ground-breaking 21st century pedagogy to transform Filipino teachers teaching practice, and then transform the way their students learn. This first phase of the comprehensive professional development program was comprised of innovative teaching techniques and training strategies to empower teacher-participants to train other educators and administrators in their community. The 2-week program included 70 hours of training designed to empower the next generation of teachers, educators and students to meet the demands of a 21st century workforce in the Philippines.


This program is presented by The Krause Center for Innovation at Foothill College, Los Altos Hills, California. The partnership was formed by the Honorable Rachel Arenas, Congresswoman Pangasinan Province and Gertrude Gregario, Project Consultant/Liaison and retired Foothill College Dean of Adaptive Learning Division with sponsorship of the Department of Trade and Industry, Philippines.
