This website is a companion to the course "Food: Biology, Chemistry and Culture" offered at Midcoast Senior College in Bath, Maine, Autumn 2013, by Barbara Snapp.  

Materials will be added to the website and updated throughout the course.

"Basic Information" contains the following files 
        Topic and reading schedule
        Historical timelines
    It also contains lists of additional resources

"Class Presentations" contains the power point presentations in pdf form.  The presentation for each class will be added within a day or two of each class session. 

"Course Articles" contains the enrichment reading for each week which will be posted shortly before each class session.  The lists will be updated as relevant new articles are found.

"Kitchen Chemistry" contains activities that will be done in class and/or at home.
