We're Team "Food Buddha", a group of 5 students from the School of Information at the University of Michigan. We are creating a Google Android application for our SI 682 class - Interface and Interaction Design taught by Prof Mick McQuaid.

Stocking up large quantities of food can help reduce budget, however, can be difficult to manage. Food Buddha is aimed at helping people organize their food storage better, manage expiring food efficiently and access other information such as recipes, nutrition etc. The application is being designed for the Google Android platform. The input would be QR codes of different food items. App users will be notified of expiring food. Additionally, they can set reminders for expiry date notification, create shopping lists, get nutrition information. recipes among various other features.

Our target customers are individuals who keep large food storage as well as vendors, food coop, small restaurants and students.
