  • When you are shoveling your driveway, please remember to also dig out any fire hydrants nearby. This helps the fire department locate and connect to a hydrant faster in case of an emergency.

  • The Fontana Police Department will be participating in the Department of Transportation “Drive Sober Winter” traffic mobilization.  This mobilization will take place from 12/15/16-01/01/17.  During this time officers will place an additional emphasis on traffic enforcement and traffic safety. The holiday season is a time of celebration and during the holiday season, it is common for individuals to make poor decisions in regards to alcohol consumption and safely operating a motor vehicle.  The Fontana Police Department asks that you prearrange safe and sober transportation to and from your holiday events.  We wish you a safe and happy holiday season!

  • A reminder, no items can be placed in the right of way.  This includes skateboard ramps and basketball hoops.
  • SCAMS AND CON MEN:   Remember the old adage " If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is", anyone can become the victim of a scam.  This may include someone contacting you saying that you've won a prize or it might be someone posing as a government employee like an IRS or FBI agent.  These government agencies will not ask for your banking or personal information over the phone.  Help us protect others from falling prey, call us immediately when you think someone is trying to scam you or a friend.
