Friends of the Kaw believes that map making is an important way to empower students, parents, and all members of our community to become good stewards of our Kansas River. To this end, we have developed a Technical Users website with advanced maps and scientific data about the Kansas River, and are participating in The Citizen Mapper project which explores new ways to involve the public in developing maps for environmental decision making.
