Why FodderZone? Well, I have worked for multiple aerospace companies during my career and have had to take Foreign Object Damage(FOD) training every year I've worked there. What's FOD you might ask. Well here you go:

Foreign Object Damage (also abbreviated FOD) is any damage attributed to a foreign object that can be expressed in physical or economic terms that may or may not degrade the product's required safety and/or performance characteristics. Typically, FOD is an aviation term used to describe debris on or around an aircraft or damage done to an aircraft. Foreign Object Damage is any damage attributed to a foreign object (i.e. any object that is not part of the vehicle) that can be expressed in physical or economic terms and may or may not degrade the product's required safety or performance characteristics. FOD is an abbreviation often used in aviation to describe both the damage done to aircraft by foreign objects, and the foreign objects themselves.[1]
After 14 years of the taking the same training it has become sort of a joke seeing that I have never worked near a flight line. Relating this to every day life I figured I'd start a collection of my own mental fodder... thus this website. I hope you enjoy.
