The following rules are subject to change and any and all disputes are decided by the race director.
  • The first 4 events of each season are qualifying events.
  • The tournament rounds start on the fifth event of each season.
  • Members who attend the greatest number of each of the first four events of the season will receive priority.  Age grade will be used in determining ties.
  • Race results will be handicapped by dividing the participant's personal record time by the time they achieved in the tournament race.  Example: 18:45.83 / 18:49.15 = 99.71%
  • Max percentage increase per round is 1%
  • The participant with the higher percentage score will advance to the next round.  In case of a tie highest Age Grade upon entry into the tournament will decide.
  • If a participant earns a new personal record during the tournament, the new personal record will become the numerator in the handicapping equation for subsequent rounds.
  • In all rounds if a participant does not attend the event the victory is automatically awarded to the attending participant.
  • If neither participant attends in a head to head match up, the participant with the higher age graded personal record upon the date of entry into the tournament will advance to the next round.
  • There will be 4 evenly distributed divisions.
  • Seeding of the divisions based on attendance.
  • If for any reason a tournament race is not held the participants with the higher age graded personal record compared to their opponent will advance to the next round.
  • The championship races will be part of the normal race held during the last event of the year and will be scored in the same manner as the previous rounds.
