FREE race series in Muskegon, MI

Friday5K is a private racing club where membership is FREE
(Races are always FREE to the members and they take place on prime numbered Fridays)
I really can't stress this enough.  Participation is FREE, no cost to the participants, the costs are completely supported by contributions from members and like minded individuals.

If you want to contribute please consider pledging your support or buying a product from the store, again, no contribution as an individual is required to enjoy all that Friday5k has to offer.

What is a prime number?
A number evenly divisible by only itself and one.  So let me help you.  If a Friday, during the race season, falls on any of the following dates [2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, or 31] there will be a Friday 5K.

Season 9
11/29/2019 [Soft opening for 2020 season]

  • There could be up to 10 events, dependent contributions, but there will only be one course, the original course at Beachwood Park, and it will be clearly marked.
  • Runners will be issued a new race bib each season with their permanent member number on it, it is recommended they keep it and use it at each event.  Additional bibs will be available for the recommended contribution of $1.
  • No water will be provided for you, but it is a public park and there is a drinking fountain, usually running water in the bathrooms and there is also drinking fountain on the course, which you will pass twice during the race.
  • There are no awards for placing, but there is an annual tournament and post race "Rock, Paper, Scissor Tournament," for prizes.
  • Places and times will be available in real time at the podium at the Real Time Results Tablet.
  • Unofficial results are now posted in real time, official results will be posted at within 48 hours of the event, and the finish line video of you crossing the finish line typically by Sunday evening.
  • Unofficial results are usually accurate, but all finishes are reviewed on video and time and order may be adjusted due to technological or human error.  Video auditing is accurate to the 1/60th of a second.
