Subject: CCAS seized 25 registered Quarter Horses-needing rescue
10 days ago CCAS seized these beautiful registered quarter horses for cruelty.
5 Stallions, 3 Colts and 17 mares and several are suspected of being pregnant. The photos of the horrendous conditions these poor babies were forced to live in cannot be released as they are evidence. CCAS won these babies in court today. The owners have 10 days to appeal, but I doubt they will. Once in the clear auction date will be set. CCAS would prefer they go to rescue as their is going to be alot of rehab involved. They were kept in stables in literally feet of their own waste unable to move, so many have no muscle tone at all and have trouble walking any distance. Their hooves and teeth all need attention, as well as many wounds.
Despite all of this every single horse is affectionate and craves your attention and love.
I am very proud to be associated with the caring individuals at CCAS. We are in a rural area where animals are typically nothing more than property to people. This wonderful shelter is setting the standard and saying NO, it is not ok!!!!
Please share this album with everyone you know and lets find these babies happy endings, and I promise to update once the auction date is set.
